Driving Music

Driving Music will hit the stage once again as a full band at the wonderful Solar de Botafogo. The venue is a charming theater for 200 people, with comfortable seats, great sound and a fantastic beer selection at the entrance cafe. We’ll be going through Comic Sans and more, doing our best to make it a memorable Saturday. Afterparty will be held at the theater’s cafe, with DJ sets by the members of Driving Music.

R$40 / R$20 for students with valid ID and the first fifty who have confirmed attendance on Facebook / R$30 for the following 100 who have also confirmed attendance

Comic Sans is featured in another year end list. This time, Rock’n'Beats mentioned the album as one of the 10 best brazilian releases of 2011. Check out the entire list. The same Rock’n'Beats had also included Comic Sans in a list of the 5 best brazilian debuts of 2011.

A great year deserves a great closure, and that’s why we’ve booked one last show for 2011, here in Rio. Driving Music will hit the stage at Solar de Botafogo, an amazing theater with comfortable seats and great acoustics, to celebrate the release of Comic Sans. Since the album came out while I was living abroad, it never had a proper release party, so that’s what we’re doing on the 26th, taking the traditional Christmas hangover one step further with an evening of live music and all around good time. After the show, the members of Driving Music will keep the night going as DJs, at the theater’s lobby café, until the last man or woman is down.

Miojo Indie has listed Comic Sans as one of the 25 best debuts of 2011. Check out the entire list here.
